Biography

Luke Collier, PsyD (he, him, his) is Licensed Psychologist in Texas. He joined Capital OCD & Anxiety Practice in 2021 after completing his doctoral internship at The Ohio State University's center for counseling and consultation services.  Dr. Collier earned his MS and PsyD in counseling psychology at Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA.  While in his doctoral program, he completed his dissertation focusing on improving the effectiveness and adherence to OCD treatment through the use of mindful interventions.  Throughout his training, Dr. Collier has worked with individuals across the lifespan and has worked in hospital settings, university counseling centers, and with Pittsburgh's chronically homeless population.  He has specific experience treating anxiety disorders at the outpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), and partial hospitalization (PHP) level of care, gained through his time spent as a practicum student at the University of Pittsburgh's Medical Center Western Psychiatric Hospital. He is trained in Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) and is committed to evidence-based care within his clinical work, supervision of advanced graduate trainees, and presentation at national conferences. Dr. Collier places a strong emphasis on the relationship between the therapist and the client and values strong collaboration with individuals and families to help best meet their needs.
