Jessica Tauber, PhD

Licensed Psychologist

Jessica Tauber, PhD (she/her/hers) joined Capital OCD and Anxiety Practice in 2022 after completing her doctoral internship at Texas Child Study Center and Dell Children’s Medical Center. She earned her M.A. and Ph.D. in School Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin, with a specialty emphasis in pediatric psychology. Dr. Tauber’s research interest in mental health training and dissemination, interprofessional collaboration, and adapting evidence-based interventions for medically complex patients have informed her clinical practice where she has focused on providing intervention and brief consultation for children and adolescents across multiple health and mental health settings. She has experience treating anxiety disorders in outpatient and hospital settings, in individual, group, and family formats using a variety of evidence-based treatments and modalities. Dr. Tauber’s approach to patient care is influenced by her experiences in multidisciplinary medical settings, including a partial hospitalization program (PHP) for youth with eating disorders, a specialized headache and pain program for children and adolescents with chronic migraine, and a primary care clinic focused on prevention and brief intervention. Dr. Tauber strives to take a collaborative team-based approach with the individuals and families that she works with, prioritizing patient values, goals, and the provision of evidence-based services. Dr. Tauber is certified as a Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) therapist and is trained in Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) including specialty training for Avoidant-Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID).
