Biography
Ginny Fullerton, PhD (she/her/hers) founded Capital OCD & Anxiety Practice in 2016 after nearly a decade of specialized clinical experience. Dr. Fullerton earned her MA and PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Houston in 2007 following her residency at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Kennedy Krieger Institute, where she concentrated on intervention and consultation for children with medical conditions and developmental disabilities. With early career experience at Baylor College of Medicine, The Menninger Clinic OCD Clinic, and McLean OCDI | Houston (formerly Houston OCD Program), she developed expertise with OCD and anxiety across all ages and levels of care. Dr. Fullerton is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Departments of Psychology and Educational Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin, where she enjoys serving as a supervisor and instructor to advanced doctoral students. Committed to evidence-based care, she was trained in Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) in 2021 and earned SPACE Certification in 2022. Since 2017, she has served on the board of OCD Texas, a local affiliate of the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF) dedicated to spreading awareness about OCD and effective treatments to providers and community members across the state. Dr. Fullerton has published research findings and presented at numerous international and local conferences on evidence-based treatments and assessments and is committed to broadening awareness of treatments that work.
